4th World Nutrition Forum

(06.10.2010) The 4th World Nutrition Forum will start on October 13th, attracting more than 700 delegates from over 60 countries to Salzburg, Austria for intensive discussions and expert talks on the most salient topics in the animal nutrition industry.

This biannual Forum, from October 13th to October 16th, has become one of the industry’s most significant scientific and opinion-leading events, with its thought- provoking discussions on the risks and opportunities facing global animal production.

It provides important insights into the scientific developments at the forefront of animal feed and additive research, as well as examining future commercial strategies.

After a welcome evening on October 13th, the main program will kick off on Thursday October 14th with a session on the animal production industry during economic uncertainty (Expect the Unexpected), followed by sessions on corporate responsibility (the Dilemma of Responsibility) and the threat of Mycotoxins.

The highlights of Friday October 15th include Breaking New Ground and BIOMIN’s NutriEconomics® Program, designed to raise efficiency through effective nutritional expertise.

“Calls for better ethics in science and more emphasis on sustainability have been growing ever louder,” said Eva Maria Binder, Chief Research Officer ERBER AG and Head of the Scientific Committee of the World Nutrition Forum. The World Nutrition Forum 2010 is dedicated to examining how shifts in ethical, safety and environmental standards mesh with changing consumer tastes and demands for a more natural approach to the entire animal production sector.

The 2010 Forum will also include a chance to reward groundbreaking research with the presentation of the B.R.A.I.N. (BIOMIN Research and Innovation Network) award winner 2010.
